| Slurry Seal |
A mixture of emulsified
asphalt, fine aggregate, mineral filler and water. Slurry Seal is
the best preventive maintenance for your surface. It seals the
surface, stops pavement from raveling, and smoothes and
weatherproofs it. Slurry Seal is a non-skid surface. |
| Micro-Surfacing |
A composition of polymer
asphalt emulsion and selected fine aggregate. It is applied cold and
can be placed in thicknesses up to 1.5". Micro-surfacing is the
only product used world-wide to fill ruts in a pavement. |
| Chip Seal |
A seal coat that consists
of a single application of asphalt followed immediately by a single
application of cover aggregate. Excess cover aggregate is normally
removed upon completion. This treatment weatherproofs and adds skid
resistance properties that can be performed over base rock or
asphalt pavement. |
| Fog Seal |
A useful, inexpensive
maintenance procedure. It is a light treatment of diluted
fast-setting emulsified asphalt that is used to revive asphalt. This
treatment is best performed to newer asphalt pavements for the best
value to the end-user. |
| Cape Seal |
Consisting of a single
application of chip seal followed with a single application of
slurry seal. This application is extremely cost-effective, giving
the end-user the best of both treatments. The cape seal treatment
has been in use in California for many years on projects with long
life cycles. |
| Crack Seal |
If new pavement if left
unseals, ultra-violet rays and bad weather can cause cracks. The
cracks need to be cleaned out with compressed air then filled with a
hot rubberized asphalt. |
