History

In the early 1930's, a mixture consisting of fine aggregates, asphalt binder and water was placed on a road in Germany. It proved to be a novel approach - and it marked the beginning of SLURRY SEAL development.

However, it was not until the 1960's that Slurry Seals became recognized for their wide variety of applications, as a low cost paving and surface maintenance system. Today, with continuing advancements in mixing methods, emulsions and machinery, Slurry Seals have become the first choice in providing a durable, low-cost alternative to conventional maintenance systems.
